Su Su Nwe joined the Thabyay Education Foundation in June 2017 as a Program Manager of the Community Leadership and Social Studies (CLASS) program. She has nine years of working experience in teaching and school management in private sector. She received training from IATSS program in Japan on Leadership Training. She studied Social Work course at Yangon University to fulfill her knowledge and to contribute her efforts in the field of community development. She believes that training young community leaders from diverse backgrounds is crucial to the development of the country. Thus she decided to dedicate herself to this job to contribute her input as a part of Thabyay. Su Su Nwe oversees both academic and program activities in the CLASS program.
Thinzar Oo is our Service Learning Teacher/Coordinator at the Kant Kaw School of Community Leadership and Social Studies (CLASS). She previously served as a Program Coordinator in Access to Justice Program of Colors Rainbow, which promotes Human Rights for LGBT. Before that, Thinzar Oo also worked as a Program Officer for Ceasefire Negotiation and Implementation Program at the Myanmar Peace Centre. She has over 6 years of experience in capacity building and training with Myanmar Egress and Capacity Building Initiatives. Thinzar Oo holds Bachelor of Computer Science from University of Computer Studies, Yangon. In 2018, she was selected as to the DeBoer Fellowship, a one-year program designed to help promising Myanmar citizen leaders to reach their potential and better serve their organizations, communities, and country.
Pierre Le Dorven joined KKEC's CLASS program in 2017, as a social sciences and English teacher. He is a proud native from Brittany, a Celtic country in Western France. Coming from a farming background, he graduated as an engineer in agriculture from UniLaSalle in 2007. He had first worked for 7 years as a sales manager and direct marketing expert in the B2B European agri-business sector. Then he went for a 15 month long trip, discovering Australia and South-East Asia which was a life changing experience! During a brief stay in France, he passed his Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) from the University of Cambridge. Then he returned to Asia to volunteer with a French NGO supporting education for socio-economically disadvantaged children for two years as a Field Coordinator in Northern Myanmar. He then realized that training young community leaders was paramount to Myanmar’s development, and as such, he decided to dedicate himself to this task. When he is not listening to Britton music, reading, or talking about the history of Brittany, he enjoys riding motorbikes in the remote Chin State tracks (especially during rainy season!). He is always up for a Kachin Manau, and would give anything for si tofu and Shan khao swe.
Anna Delany joined the teaching staff of Thabyay Education Foundation in early 2018 as a Social Science and English Teacher for the Community Leadership and Social Studies Program. She is brand new to Yangon. Before moving to Myanmar, Anna worked for international human rights organizations in Geneva, Switzerland, where she was involved in capacity-building and advocacy projects. Anna holds a Master Degree in International Human Rights Law, a Bachelor Degree in European Studies, and is a certified English teacher (CELTA). In her spare time, Anna is a passionate dancer and cook.
Cung Lyan Mawi (also known as Moe Thet Mon) joins Kan Kaw Education Center to be a teacher in the Community Leadership and Social Studies Program. Prior to KKEC she was a trainer at Institute for Political and Civic Engagement (iPACE). She facilitates Strategic Planning for Change Course, Pluralism and other such as Governance, Political Engagement, and Federalism. She also worked as the ESL program director at the Dagon Biblical Seminary. Cung also taught courses in Spiritual Formation, Personal Formation, Discipleship and Teacher Training for ESL Teachers in various seminaries. She holds a Master of Arts in Christian Education, Manila, Philippines.

Dian Yulianti Anggraini Pulumahuny, nicknamed Dian joined Kant Kaw Education Center (English for Professionals Program) in June 2017 as an English teacher. She is the Coordinator of English for Professionals Program. Dian is originally from Indonesia. She earned Bachelor of Arts in Public Relation at Sahid University. Currently, she is studying for Master Degree of Applied English Linguistics at Atma Jaya University. She has 11 years of experience in teaching English. She also volunteered as a teacher for ASEAN and Southeast Asian Studies at Kaw Dai Intensive English. She has participated in many workshop and trainings such as TBI Teacher Development Workshop, English Language Professional Development and Education Psychology Training.
Kyaw Thurein studied Electrical Power Engineering at the Yangon Institute of Technology. However having developed a passion for teaching he started a career as language instructor in 2004. In his own studies he received an IELTS score of 8.5 and currently teaches the IELTS preparation course. He loves traveling and has formed a group with like-minded friends to do volunteering work in local communities.
Kyawt Shin Phyu has 5 years of teaching experience at various levels and age groups. Her expertise is in English and IT. She has a degree in Physics from Yangon University of Distance Education as well as other diplomas in English and Computer Studies. She also volunteers as a teacher in disadvantaged communities. Sharing knowledge is one of her passions. During her leisure time, she enjoys learning new languages, traveling and tailoring.
Mr. Moses teachers Elementary and Pre-Intermediate English in our English for Professional Program. He has a bachelor degree in Psychology. He attended one-year Teacher Training Course at Teacher Training Center opened by Infant of Jesus Congregation and Yangon Archdiocese which is formally named Pinya Sanpyae Institute of Education (PSIE) now. He also went to study a short course titled English Language Training for Academic Setting at Ateneo Language Learning Center, Manila, Philippines. Moses has three-years experiences of project managements, conducting trainings, organizing and involving meetings with different organizations at Episcopal Commission for Education (ECE) – Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Myanmar and seven-year experiences of English teaching, student relations and events organizing Campion Institute. He loves the work of organizing and coordination activities and events and found his talent in these fields. It is his philosophy that we human are born as gardener so it is our moral responsibility to be a part in caring ALL creatures and plants dwelling in the garden, OUR PLANET.
