Dr. Somboon Panyakom is a lifelong educator and advocate for indigenous people’s rights and protection in Thailand. He previously served as the Dean of International College at Payap University, Chiangmai. He authored numerous articles and monographs on social entrepreneurship and community development issues. Dr. Somboon Panyakom received B.A. in Political Science from Ramkhamhaeng University, M.A. in Social Administration from Thammasat University and Ph.D. from the University of Queensland, Brisbane.
Dr. Suwichan Phatthanaphraiwan is an Assistant Professor in Geo Cultural Management at Bodhivijjalya College of Srinakharinwirot University in Thailand. Prior to his current position, Dr. Phatthanaphraiwan served as Project Coordinator of WISE Community Music Program and Watershed Recovery Project through Thailand Health Fund Office. He is a Karen singer, musician, and the first Karen lecturer at Srinakharinwirot University. He writes and sings Thai-Pakakeryor songs as well as plays tenaku (Pakakeryor mandolin) to illustrate the lifestyle and culture of the tribal people as well as the relationship between humans and nature. Dr. Phatthanaphraiwan received his B.A. and M.A. from Chiangmai University and Doctor of Fine Art (DA) from Srinakharinwirot University.
Mr. Harry Wathittayakul, based out of Chiang Mai, Thailand, works at Compassion International as National Director for Thailand. Prior to his current position, he worked as a Program Coordinator for the IRC - International Rescue Committee's Local Empowerment Project in Burma. Mr. Wathittayakul holds Master of Public Administration degree from National Institute for Development Administration (NIDA), Bangkok.
